What I Wore – Jan & Feb 2017

What I Wore January and February 2017 is long but oddly, it wasn’t a particularly exciting 2 months so just take the pics as little ideas/inspirations for when you’re having one of those days of “I don’t know what to wear” days. There are just a handful of new items I got recently so if the item isn’t new but there’s still a similar version in stores, I put a link to what I could find.

I should mention, if I haven’t before, what my usual routine is so you understand why I am often dressed the way I do – I go to the gym 3-4x mornings a week, I run errands, I do some work at home (so no business casual outfits from me, sorry, those days have been over for awhile!), I have coffee or lunch with a girlfriend, pick up kids from school and otherwise run said kids to activities after school, make dinner, clean up around the house, relax on the couch and watch TV at night (Almost everything on Bravo are my favorites, of course), read and go to bed. I am lucky enough to have some date nights with my husband and girls dinners out, too. Occasionally, there’s something I am doing at one of the girls schools or the weather calls for certain clothes but that’s just my life. Honestly, I always work out in the am and some days if all I’m doing is running an errand and working at  home and picking up a kid from school, I don’t bother to shower and change until it’s bed time. I am pretty sure I’m not the only one who does this.  Occasionally, I travel, although not always anywhere exciting. The last few pics are from my recent trip to Boca with my daughters and my mom. It was a short trip and really all we did was go to the beach and pool so there wasn’t much to show from it. I did get a new cover up before we left but didn’t even remember to take a pic of it, sorry! I’d been looking for one to go with my blue bathing suit for awhile and the one I got just seemed right for me.

Ok, off we go…..

Yup, I took this in the women’s locker room at the gym. But please know that I wasn’t anywhere near where women were changing their clothes. Ha! This was a weights class day.

So not the best photo (hello squinty faces!) but wanted to show myself and the girls on the beach in Boca because I got this bathing suit last summer from Athleta so I can vouch for the quality and options of their swim wear – some you can mix and match like I did. I’m wearing this top (Small) and this bottom (XS). In case you’re wondering, my younger daughter is wearing a new swim suit from Target, found here. She loves a good off the shoulder top, even if it’s a bathing suit. Ha!

Almost same outfit I wore to Florida to go home in but wearing a different tank (Old Navy last summer). Really this picture is more about the beautiful view from my parents condo and shows what gorgeous weather we had! I did wear the same jacket that I wore down to Boca on the way home, too.

I have an exciting month of activities March so hopefully I’ll have more of a variety of outfits to showcase next month. In the meantime…..Happy shopping!
