After being in Disney and Boca with my family, I came back home, got settled in, and was ready to do a little bit of shopping online at Loft. So, on a Sunday night, while Loft was having a promotion where I got 40% off everything and free shipping for spending $125 or more, I sat comfortably snuggled up on my couch and went through the site and picked out a bunch of possible new tops for Spring. The biggest issue? Narrowing down the choices and deciding on sizes. Tough life, ha! Keep reading to see which tops were keepers.
I tried to stay a bit focused on my choices, aiming more towards tops that work for an evening out and dressier tees. Oh, and if you notice, the bad thing about ordering items in the mail is that they come nicely wrinkled. I tried on most of these tops before I was getting dressed for an evening out so I’m not really wearing any make up and didn’t have time to steam the wrinkles out. Sorry!
First up is this cami tank (wearing XS). I really wish it had come in white but settled for the closest color, cream/off white. It is a very comfortable, well fitting tank. I would say I could have sized down but the main reason I decided to return it is the length. I am not looking for a long layering tank. I wanted it to be more hip length and look great layered under a cute jacket. I already have a long tank in a similar style so that is also why I returned it. If you don’t though, get this top!!
Next was this lacy ruffle off the shoulder top (XXS) – I loved the color and wasn’t sure how the details would translate in person, meaning would they be too much together? I was pleasantly surprised that once I put the top on, all the details went fine together, nothing seemed too much or conflicting with another. It was comfortable and also fit well but unfortunately, I made the mistake in getting this top in the XXS and it was too tight up in my armpit. I also returned this top because I decided that I’d rather stick to short sleeve or sleeveless tops at this point in the season.
Then, it was this flutter off the shoulder top (XS) in a similar color to the one above. This top is truly meant to be worn off the shoulder, although you can obviously wear it on the shoulder, too, as I did in the top picture below. It’s been awhile since I’ve bought an off the shoulder top that requires a strapless bra but I liked this one so much that I kept this one and will be making sure I have a strapless bra I love to wear it with.
Then, it was on to trying the nicer tees. I really wanted a nicer white tee since I have none and while this tulip sleeve tee is just a simple cotton blend, it was the sleeve detail that drew me in. It’s comfortable and has a bit of a straighter fit, not my first choice, but I decided to keep it since it’s what I was looking for at a great price point.
Last but not least was this black eyelet back tee. I wish this had come in white or a pink but I went with the black (XS) because I thought I’d get the most use of it between the other choices. The detail of the eyelet back is hard to see in the black so I did my best to try and show it. I really liked this tee. It is 100% rayon and really comfortable and fit loose. I pictured wearing it with leggings since it’s a bit longer in style but I made the mistake of getting it in the XS and really could’ve used the XXS. When I went to the store to return the other tops, sadly, they didn’t have it there at all so I ended up returning it. Bummer.
So, I kept 2 out of the 5 tops, which I’m perfectly fine with. Means more money back in my bank account to spend on new shoes.
Have you gotten any tops or other clothes from Loft recently you love? They’ve been having a lot of promotions these days so it’s a good time to snag some new items for Spring.
