I was going through my pictures the other day and cleaning them up, i.e. moving them to various folders to get organized, and I came across a few dressing rooms selfies I took that I decided I could share because some of the items are currently on sale. Keep in mind, I didn’t take these selfies to share, I took them because I wasn’t buying the item that day because I was either on the fence about the item or didn’t feel like spending the money at the time. I’m sharing them now because I think some of the items are worth sharing.
First up is Loft.
Romper (XS): If I hadn’t already purchased one from Gap this year (this one, seen here), I would have bought it. It was SO ridiculously comfortable. Almost like wearing pajamas! Plus, I loved how it looked from the side with the part under the arm where it looks like a fake tank is underneath. It also comes in a peach color, too. Still on the fence about this one to be honest now that I’m thinking about it. It has such good reviews! Ha!
Peplum top (XS, on sale): I realize now that the picture doesn’t really do it justice because the shirt is showing up so dark in the photo but it’s really pretty in person. The color of it is actually a navy not black. As someone who doesn’t think peplum tops usually look good on me, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I think it’s because the peplum is subtle. The material is light and airy, so perfect for summer. It could be perfect for work or a night out. It also comes in a pretty yellow and has great reviews.
On to Bloomingdales
Velvet by Graham & Spencer Knit Top (XS and on sale): When I was in the store, it was right before Mother’s Day. I was looking for a new top to wear to brunch so this was one I grabbed because I loved the pink color and felt it was a little bit different from tops currently in my closet. I was conveniently wearing a white tank that day, which is what you see, because the top is a knit and otherwise see-through. I really liked this top although not sure how flattering it was on my arms. In the end, I didn’t buy it because once I tried on the Splendid top below, I realized it was the winner.
Splendid tee (XS, on sale) and Paige jean shorts (size 26, Elvie wash): So, the tee was very blah. I liked the color and it was comfy but I wasn’t in the mood to buy blah. And the shorts, well, I was surprised by them. They were definitely comfortable and I specifically grabbed the light blue to try on since I don’t own a pair of jean shorts in the color, but I was on the fence about them because of the length in the back. I’m almost 38 and not sure I can still wear shorts this short in the back anymore. Lol.
Velvet by Graham & Spencer top (XS; on sale): This was REALLY soft. And guess what? Later, I realized it is called the ‘Cozy Heather Tee’ so go figure I thought it was so soft. haha. Needless to say, I LOVED it and the color, too. I didn’t buy it that day because I was trying to get new tops for summer and not more long sleeve. If it comes out in any colors for Fall, I’ll be all over it.
