Pre Black Friday Sales & My Wish List

If you’re like me, you’ve started to do some Black Friday shopping because, well, the stores are having the sales!

For a quick post, I thought I’d share what I’ve already purchased from some of the Pre Black Friday sales for both myself and my daughters and what I am planning to check out on Black Friday.

The Low Down On What Has Been Ordered

Gap – Bought myself the faux fur parka to try. Debated between that and the 2 in 1 parka. I’m worried it may be too big and heavy for my petite frame but figured it’s cute, I don’t own one, so why not try. If you haven’t gotten one of their ColdControl Max Puffer Jacket (or vest) but been thinking about it – now is the time. Can almost guarantee the stock will be low by this weekend. Also, their softspun knits, like this tunic, are amazing (I actually remember being in the car last year ordering a softspun top on our way to family in Raleigh). Right now, everything is 50% off with code BLKFRIDAY.

Old Navy – You can’t go wrong with sweaters and cold weather accessories for everyone in the family here but for now, I just got my daughter a leather jacket because she needs it for a talent show and because she wants it. #mompushover. Everything is 40% off, discount is automatic. Each day this week different items are 50% off.

Children’s Place – Ordered some cold weather accessories for my girls – think hat, head wrap and and  a sparkly tiger shirt (everything is 50-75% off and free shipping!!) and they have some really cut fingerless gloves, too!

Nordstrom – Ok so Nordstrom is not having a sale (although a lot of items are reduced) but I decided to get some items now anyway in case stock gets low because the private holiday shopping events (varies by store location) are coming up and some items may go fast. I have ordered:

  • The North Face Pom Pom Hat – really cute but I particularly liked the cream color
  • Ugg Fingerless gloves – Saw these in person and they are cute and comfortable! I went for the gray and am really excited about them!
  • Girls Jack Rogers boots – These are for my older daughter who doesn’t want Uggs. Think LL Bean/Sorel style but girlier. The daisy’s around the lace holes just add the right amount of detail. These also come in a pretty metallic but my daughter picked the classic colors. Go figure.
  • Nike Air Max Thea Sneakers (Knit) – Been debating about these in the metallic silver and then black when they went on sale. Couldn’t get my size and still hunting for an updated gray sneaker so when these were added to the site recently, I went for them. Really hoping they fit.

Note: A lot of Madewell sweaters are also reduced at Nordstrom right now. So many of my favorites (see below) you can get here, too! Also, these Zella moto leggings that were a part of the anniversary sale and have a ton of good reviews were re-stocked and are reduced!

The Low Down On What I May Buy, i.e. My Wish List

Bloomingdales – This is a great time to grab a sweater from their Aqua Cashmere line (I have this drape front cardigan and this cold shoulder one). One of the best cashmere lines I’ve experienced out there. Sized right, priced right, and wears well. Also, this a great time to snag a new purse or wallet. Bloomingdales has an amazing selection of Tory Burch and Rebecca Minkoff (I mention one in my Thanksgiving post that I love). Personally, I also love tees by Wilt. They’re not the cheapest but they are definitely good quality and a bit thicker, which make them great for the Winter. They are a bit big/loose so make sure to size down if you’re not sure. This Wilt tee is on my “wish list.” I recently bought a pair of rag & bone jeans. No, they don’t have a raw hem, distressing, or a high waist because I was looking for a pair that didn’t have any of those for a change. Crazy, right?! I love the blue and how tight the leg is, making them great for shoving in tall boots and Uggs. And I’m short waisted so I’m finding I really don’t love a high waist. So, check those out, and any other denim, too, for that matter. If you need a new dress or top for the holiday’s, you’re pretty sure to find a great one here. Take $25 off every $100 right now, exclusions apply.

Madewell –  Think sweaters, sweaters, and more sweaters. And maybe a necklace or turtleneck, too. ?There are some I already love that I’ve mentioned in this post but I recently saw this cable one added to the site and I also love this boxy cotton turtleneck because it comes in a bunch of colors and is loose. Everything is 25% off in store and online right now with code DONTSTRESS.

My favorite sweater this Fall

Loft – I did a post back in October when Loft had it’s Friends & Family sale (find it here) and a lot of those items you can snag now with a discount. Of course, there are new items to love, too, like this ribbed blouson sweater (chenille version that is similar) and these velvet leggings, which seem like a no brainer to be comfy and dressed up. Everything is 40% off  with code GIFTITUP.

Shopbop – There’s so much to love at this site it’s almost overwhelming. But when they have a sale, it’s worth checking out. Right now they are having a Buy More Save More promotion with code MORE17. A few items on my “wish list” are this velvet cold shoulder top (perfect for a holiday party!), these Terez exercise leggings (love the splatter!), this Z Supply cold shoulder tee and kind of “wild” about this Wildfox sweater.

Pura Vida Bracelets – MY FAVORITE every day bracelets. I’ve mentioned them a bunch on my Instagram but they’re just simple adjustable bracelets that are made well and come in all kinds of styles and colors. You can’t go wrong and it’s best to buy a few at a time. Just sayin’. Heads Up, they are having a black Friday promotion that starts Thursday – 50% off and Free Shipping.

Happy shopping and of course, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! ??

Note – I am not going to have another post with more Black Friday sales because I feel another post would be overkill.
