I realized I haven’t done one of these Latest Likes posts in awhile and the summer seemed like the perfect time because it includes a good book for reading at the beach/pool (or wherever), a nail color perfect for summer, a fun printed pouch/clutch, a necklace I’ve had on almost constant rotation, and a show that’s definitely a “guilty pleasure.” Enjoy!
Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari (book) – Love this book. “In Modern Romance, Ansari combines his irreverent humor with cutting-edge social science to give us an unforgettable tour of our new romantic world.” In my opinion, Ansari is one of the funniest comedians out there these days and this book was just SO interesting, relevant, and the way the humor is a part of it just makes it a MUST read.
Pura Vida Fruit Punch Clutch – Hard to admit but this popped up on my Instagram feed and I was actually excited about it. It just screams summer. However, it took me over a week to decide whether I wanted to buy it or not since I read the reviews and realized it was much larger then I thought. But, oddly, when I was at the beach, there it was, in a different print, in a store. So, after looking at it in person, I felt comfortable ordering it. Plus, I can always come up with an excuse for another cute pouch/clutch AND it came with a free bracelet. Score!
Stella and Dot Riad Layering Necklace – I’m putting this in my Latest Likes post because it’s been on almost constant rotation for me since I bought it back in May. It’s 3 necklaces in 1 and goes with just about everything. (I wore it a few times in this post of What I Wore April/May)
OPI Pink Flamenco Gel Nail Polish – Loving this new darker pink color for summer.
Botched, the TV Show – I’m almost embarrassed to admit how much I love this show but then I realized I must not be the only one because it’s in 3rd season, airing Tuesday nights at 9 on E! Clearly someone at E! knew that people love stories about plastic surgery gone wrong. Originally, I started watching this show because it would come on as I doing the dishes at night but I just kept finding myself wanting to sit down and watch the rest of the show even when the dishes were done. I will admit that I always have a hard time watching the parts where the actual surgeries are performed but other then that, the stories are fascinating and Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nasiff are just fun to watch.
