Dinner with Friends and Outfit Ideas for Thanksgiving

It’s always been important to me that I stay connected to my friends. I realized that after I had children, these “girls” dinners become even more sacred because they are so often desperately needed as a time to decompress, laugh, and catch up. Plus, it’s a nice excuse to dress up a little from the gym, running errands, work, or shuttling kids to/from activities. I’ve been lucky enough to have had a few of these dinners recently and great times were had over good food and maybe a few good drinks, too. 😉

Here are the 2 outfits I wore to my most recent dinners.

Vest is from last winter, similar here | Top | Jeans – similar | Booties – similar | Necklace | Ring

Top (mine is navy) | Jeans | Heels (mine are blue and from last year) |Necklace (old) – similar | Purse (mine is a cream color)

So looking ahead to this week and the upcoming holiday, we are headed to my in-laws in North Carolina so I have to plan ahead of time what I’ll be wearing for Thanksgiving. That got me inspired to think about some outfit ideas for myself and anyone else who may need it.

#1 Thanksgiving Outfit Idea – Good for hanging out all day, i.e. relaxed but pulled together

#2 Outfit Idea – Casual dinner with minimal couch sitting (I went with a few options here)

#3 Outfit Idea – Family and/or friends who like to get a little more dressed up for dinner, minimal couch sitting (Also, a few options here)

Hope this post provides a little inspiration all around. Hoping to get one more little post out around the holiday but in case I run out of time, wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!
